Before you start packing, ask yourself what you expect is going to happen. The way you prepare your bag might be very different than the way that I prepare mine based on your location and your expectations of the future. It’s important that you set your goal and decide exactly what you want to prep for. Of course, a general emergency kit is fine if you just want to have something ready, but the more specific you can be, the better off your kit will be.
